SO WHOLESOME, SO GOOD this beautiful pizza is all about the Zaatar, a middle eastern herb mix with dried oregano, sumac, and toasted sesame seeds. Our favourite way to enjoy this is with tea and some sides like fresh cucumber, mint, tomatoes and labneh… mmmm a heavenly weekend brekky for us!

Okonomiya translates to ‘as you like’ ‘cooked or fried’, so there is lots of room for versatility. If you feel like some prawns, chicken or bacon added, replace the mushrooms with these or add them. This recipe gives a super soft bread loaf that has a great flavour and very versatile.
Both the pastry and pie filling can be made a day or two before. Use the freshest fish possible. You
will need 4 small pie moulds, approx. 10cm, for this which are available form most homeware and cooking stores and Kmart in Australia. Alternatively, you can make one large pie.
You can even enjoy the dumpling filling on its own as a salad or over rice, seafood or meat. We love this!
